Atomic Heart Looks Insane in New Combat Trailer

Atomic Heart has reemerged during Gamescom with an intensely insane combat trailer showcasing the impressive nature of its Bioshock-like combat style. The trailer is a little over three minutes, with some of the most chaotic carnage against different types of enemies.

From the trailer, it seems like players will be able to utilize a variety of weapons including guns and melee in one hand. The other hand looks reserved for some interesting powers, like electrifying enemies, tossing enemies with telekinesis, and more.

Atomic Heart was announced originally back in 2018. The game takes place in the Soviet Union in 1955, but the setting is futuristic instead. The story of Atomic Heart talks about how robotic technology began to flourish following the end of World War II. However, the robots have decided that they don’t want to serve humanity anymore and rebel. In addition to robots, the player must fight against mutated humans that were created by some intense experimentation.

Players play as a private agent P-3, who must figure out what happened and what caused the collapse of this otherwise perfect society.

Atomic Heart will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. It’s also coming to Xbox Game Pass.
