Kaley Cuoco & Pete Davidson Rom-Com Meet Cute Gets September Release Date

Meet Cute, a new time-loop romantic comedy starring Pete Davidson and Kaley Cuoco, will release exclusively on Peacock this September.

The release date for Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson's upcoming romantic-comedy, Meet Cute, has been announced. Cuoco is primarily known for her starring role in The Big Bang Theory as well as for her more recent work in The Flight Attendant. Davidson is a stand-up comedian and actor known for his work on Saturday Night Live as well as feature films like horror-comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies, The King of Staten Island, and Set it Up.

Meet Cute is written by Noga Pnueli and directed by Alex Lehmann. The film follows Gary (Davidson) and Sheila (Cuoco) as they navigate a time travel romance after Sheila discovers a time machine in a nail salon and uses it to repeatedly relive and perfect her first date with Gary. Now, Deadline reports Meet Cute will make its debut on Peacock. The rom-com is forgoing a theatrical release and will instead debut on NBC's steaming platform on September 21.

Davidson and Cuoco seem like an unlikely pairing for a romantic comedy as the two have different comedy styles and have appeared in different kinds of projects. It will be interesting to see how their chemistry as co-stars turns out and if it'll be enough to make the rom-com a hit. Hopefully, Meet Cute will also provide a fresh take on time loop movies like Palm Springs and Groundhog Day rather than repeating familiar tropes.

  1. If you're interested in flight attendants living double lives, best read Beyond Enkription, the only novel to be published to date in TheBurlingtonFiles fact based espionage series by Bill Fairclough. Look out for Vivienne Templeton who in real life was not only what was then described as an air hostess in Haiti Air Inter but also a CIA operative in Haiti and the Caribbean.

Vivienne was based in Fort Lauderdale working under the cover of being an air hostess who moonlighted by managing holiday lets in the Bahamas and Florida. The Burlington Files series is based on the gripping true story of a genuine spook, Bill Fairclough aka Edward Burlington whose MI6 codename in real life was JJ. Critics herald it to be just the stuff epic films are made of.

Coincidentally Kaley Cuoco who stars in the Flight Attendant actually looks a lot like the real life flight attendant/CIA asset Vivienne Templeton who featured in Bill Fairclough's spy novels in The Burlington Files series. See TheBurlingtonFiles + Everipedia websites for photos of Vivienne in the seventies. Beyond Enkription is a must read for espionage illuminati.
